18 WAITS / GERHARD SS2017 COLLABORATION TRUNK SHOW

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE TORONTO DESIGN OFFSITE FESTIVAL AND HEIDI EARNSHAW DESIGN

On January 18th, 2017 we showcased our collaborative, limited edition Spring / Summer 2017 collection with 18 Waits alongside a handcrafted furniture and ceramics collection by Heidi Earnshaw Design and Susie Osler. "Dressing Room", as the presentation was titled, was held in partnership with the 2017 Toronto Design Offsite Festival, presented by Keilhauer and Herman Miller.

"Dressing Room" seeks to remove both furniture and clothing from the abstract showroom environment and to present it in a more contextualized, comfortable manner. The qualities, values and priorities of both the clothing and the furniture are in sync and one provides the context for the other.

Heidi Earnshaw Design is an award-winning studio specializing in the design and production of solid wood furniture and functional objects. The studio strives to create timeless, carefully detailed pieces that enhance their users’ daily rituals and add comfort and beauty to the spaces they inhabit.

18 Waits is a menswear label offering clothing that is well built, from the finest fabrics, with no detail overlooked. 18 Waits is more than a brand or a fashion label — it is a lifestyle, embodying an old world mentality, in which clothing is to be worn until it has been rendered unusable. “Wear well, enjoy, love, destroy,” as their mantra implies.

Special thanks to Andrew Sardone at The Globe and Mail for featuring "Dressing Room" as one of his TO DO 2017 Expert Picks.

Thank you to all of our friends, customers, and passers by for making the event such a pleasure to host.
