In 1996, after obtaining a license from W. L. Gore & Associates for use of their Gore-Tex fabric, they expanded into their now well known line of outdoor technical apparel. Arc'teryx’ central purpose is to create equipment that enables its user to be immersed in the moment of doing, regardless of external conditions.
Designers > Buttero : Buttero is named after Italian “cowboys” - the Butteri - who roamed the hills of Tuscany on horseback in the 19th century, herding cattle and buffalo. Founded in 1974 by Mauro Sani, Buttero originally set out to make the world’s finest riding boots. Today, having expanded their offering into fashion footwear, Buttero remains “101% Made in Italy”. All product design, tannery of their signature leathers and manufacturing remains in-house, in the Calzaturificio Buttero. Even finishing hardware (laces, eyelets, soles, etc.) are manufactured within the region. Buttero maintains the tradition of Tuscan shoe making, utilizing expert artisans who are the masters of their craft, along with the finest vegetable tanned leathers. Buttero remains owned and operated by the Sani family to this day.
Designers > Canada Goose : Founded in 1957, Canada Goose invented the modern day parka and made its Canadian association inseparable. With strong ties to the Canadian Arctic, northern communities, and the worlds of mountaineering and outdoor film, Canada Goose has established itself as being the maker of the warmest jackets for the harshest climates. Despite the increasing demand for their product, as Canada Goose enters the luxury apparel market, their Made in Canada commitment is further solidified by their recent acquisition and opening of brand new factories in Winnipeg and Montreal.
Designers > Ecologyst : Ecologyst designs and manufactures in house, at their "Made Here Factory" in Victoria, BC. Their retail / factory / office is completely open to the public, offering a human connection and transparency. They use only 100% natural fibres, and their materials are both ethically and sustainably sourced. Ecologyst is a certified "B Corp", which means that they are held to high social and environmental standards by "B Lab Global", a well known and well respected independent third party.
Designers > Devlyn Van Loon : Devlyn Van Loon designs, drafts and manufactures in-house, in her Toronto studio. Each piece is thoroughly wear tested before being added to the collection ; ease of movement and comfort are very central to her theme : "how does it make you feel?". Every production is either done in small or made to order quantities, keeping waste in check ; nothing is produced in excess of what is needed. Only natural fibers, deadstock and organic fabrics are used for production, further solidifying her commitment to responsible manufacturing.

Their treatments are both gentle and effective, for all skin types, ungendered; a modern couple will shop for and use the same products together. Every product is formulated with trusted natural ingredients and the latest cosmetic technologies.
Designers > Margaret Howell : Margaret Howell's eponymous label was born in the kitchen of her London home in 1970. A sewing machine was added here, a buttonholer was added there, the bed was lifted to the ceiling to make space for more machinery underneath, until room by room, the studio took over the flat. To this day, Margaret Howell maintains a small London Workroom, which handles a lot of the brand's shirting. The rest is manufactured primarily in Portugal and Italy. An old but beautifully stitched pinstripe shirt found at a jumble sale serves as the inspiration for much of what the brand represents today : Patterns are relaxed, comfortable and casual, and don't change much from season to season. Fabrics are irregular and imperfect in a perfect sort of way - the signature of an old loom. She reminds us that "a job worth doing is a job worth doing well". Her single most important piece of sartorial advice is to always be comfortable.
Designers > Master Piece : master-piece has manufactured bags and everyday-carry essentials in Japan since 1994. Against a backdrop of recession, ageing craftsmen and a lack of apprentices, the Japanese fashion industry had just started to off-shore its production, resulting in the mass closure of factories across the country. master-piece responded to this trend by building BASE OSAKA (their own in-house factory) in 2008, which now employs ~50 people across a wide range of occupations. To this day, at BASE OSAKA, master craftsmen work closely with young apprentices to ensure that the technical knowledge and spirit that supports Japanese manufacturing can continue into future generations.
Designers > Naked & Famous : Naked & Famous is not a normal denim company. Instead of relying on sex and celebrity, and expensive ad campaigns, as all of the "hollywood" and "glamour" denim brands of the early aughts did, they devoted all of their resources to sourcing the world’s best fabric and making it into great jeans. No marketing, no washes, no distressing, no nonsense. Just excellent denim at a reasonable price point.
Designers > Obbi Good Label : Obbi Good Label was founded by a group of leather crafters in Singapore in 2007. The word "Obbi" is derived from "Hobby", which is ultimately how OGL began. Despite the brand's international success and rapid growth, OGL maintains its hobby status to this day, best illustrated by its "Atelier Lodge, Leather Academy" in Singapore, where they still conduct leather crafting courses at both the institutional level and through small hobby workshops.

Designers > Viberg : Viberg boots are expertly made, from start to finish, in their Victoria, B.C. workshop, by a small team of talented craftspeople, just as they have always been, since 1931. Viberg found its footing making logging boots and horse harnesses in Saskatchewan, before moving the business to British Columbia. Over time, their reputation for quality became hard to ignore, and the global menswear market took interest. Today, Viberg’s offering is as beautiful as it is durable, though the utilitarian, hard-wearing family tradition on which they built their name remains.
Designers > Wonder Looper : Wonder Looper was launched in 2022 by Bahzad Trinos and Risa Saito of Naked & Famous Denim. What started out as a chain-stitch-embroidery passion project eventually grew into a complete specialty knitwear program. Using Japan's highest quality knitting mills, Wonder Looper creates premium knit garments that combine modern innovations with vintage details. All “Wonder Looper” labels are still chain-stitch-embroidered by Risa, keeping their origins central to the narrative.
